Sheila Ann Taylor

Sheila Ann Taylor, age 69, passed away on September 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 2, 1957, in Milan, Tennessee, to the late Benjamin Mason and Ida Gardner.

Sheila made her home in Lafayette, Tennessee. She will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. She had a fierce and steadfast love for her children and an instinctive desire to protect not only her own, but every child she welcomed into her heart and claimed as hers. Her home was a place where everyone belonged. Once you walked through her door, you were family, and Sheila was your Momma or Nanny, too. Her love knew no boundaries, and countless people will carry the comfort, protection, and love she gave them throughout their lives.

Sheila is survived by her children, Lynette Taylor, Jaclyn Taylor-Falor, and Jason Taylor; her grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) Hardin, Brandon Taylor, Dillon Taylor, Mary Taylor, Frank (Jessica) Anthony, and Carol Falor; and her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Aubreigh, Easton, Oliver, and Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Darryl Duane Taylor, as well as brother Donald Mason, half-sisters Rowena Mann and Philis Biggs, half-brothers Jerry Birdwell and Albert Barr.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Taylor Chapel, 5890 Natchez Trace Road, Franklin, TN, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, with Jack Wakefield officiating. Burial will follow in Lynn Cemetery.
